Great, now I have to wait until tomorrow to attempt this with one of my cameras...

Unless, I consider orange blobs artistic...

Your technique is interesting. I hadn't seen that before, I meant focus on a close foreground object and leave the stars unfocused through the entire exposure. Similar results.

It’s like abstract painting or improvised Jazz in a way no? I like to use the colors and shapes to sort of paint with color. And yeah, no comments that it is not sharp or focused just perfectly

There are already so many beautiful pieces here in just 3 pages. I hope it goes for a while.

Funny this thread should happen!. Just a week or so back I was having an outing with a bunch of camera club friends with creativity as a subject. I took an enlarger lens along ( 150mm Leitz) but was getting really funky results when trying to do bokeh type shots like the Stellata Magnolia. So I gave up on focusing altogether! Turns out when I had disassembled the lens to clean it I had reversed the centre concave element!. Trying do do a photoshoot based on unfocusing to the optimum degree was a fun but highly unnatural experience.!
