How can you walk away from gear that looks BNIB and costs 6% of what it did new?

Funny but that's what crossed my mind when I saw it on eBay. Everything looks BNIB.

I'm very lucky that I have never succumbed to this fearsome disease.

With me I've always bought what I need to get the job done, apart from the odd wee whim or a bit of fun.

hey, looks like how I was struggling with decisions. Almost month before black friday I started digging into Fuji system. Read unlimited reviews about lenses which are indeed very nice you know, XF 50mm F/2 WR, XF 16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR, X-T2, X-H1 bodies. But.... X-H1 is about the same price as K1 or even K1-II FULL FRAME!!. I know it's technically advanced, fast autofocus, eye tracking etc etc but how it can be in the same price category as a full frame beast hard to believe. I better give this amount to Pentax to farther develop great products
Well, the thing about Fujifilm is that you have to like X-trans. For me it's highly overrated. In fact, I don't like it's colour at all really. Generally colour seems too contrasty and unrealistic compared to real-life. Each to their own though. They seem to have convinced internet reviewers.

As I previously posted, I won a K100D that came with a mystery lens that turned out to be an F50/2.8 Macro I've been playing with the combo and like it a lot. This photo is of the lenses on my desk that are being evaluated and sorted. I've got one that needs a focus ring (F70-210) and the rest are ones I'm considering selling. The tones of the image are unadjusted and were converted from RAW out of the K100D by the Pentax Camera Utility 4 software into JPG with all defaults set.

Oh ghods yes! I've had it bad for the past 6 or 7 months.

Here's what I picked up recently (after a year of owning the K-1) All used off eBay or here on PF.
In no particular order
Sigma 50-500 f/4-6.7
Pentax 100 f/2.8 Macro (to replace my Vivitar/Pentax 100mm f/3.5 macro)
Pentax DFA* 15-30 2.8 (Won an auction on E-bay for an amazing Price)
Pentax DFA* 70-200 f/2.8 A great Buy it Now price on eBay.
Pentax 150-450 This was from a sale on KEH and probably the one I should have let go since it duplicates/is a subset of the Bigma. But the Bigma's not WR is my rationalization for this one.
A Tamron 28-300 that I got for a travel lens so I don't need to bring my whole kit with me.
A Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 I got this before the 15-30 came up for auction. I'm considering selling it.

I passed on a Pentax 24-70 f/2.8 WR that was going for $700, and I'm wondering if I should have gotten it anyway even though I have the 28-105. But there's something about having the complete set that I guess fills an OCD void in my life I guess, so I'm keeping an eye out for another deal.

One way to manage GAS is to accumulate so much gear that when you see something for sale you think, “Nah. Got it already.” Consequently my gear lust is now limited to FA Limiteds lthat have a lower serial than the ones I already own, any LX accessory (whether I have it or not) and peripheral gear.

For instance. I just bought a lot of MX and LX focusing screens that I’ll probably never use, but I have them now. And I’m looking at RRS heads, clamps and plates, and legs and monopods since K-1 gear is heavier than K-3 gear . . . . .
