Sandy, I'm sorry but I am going to have to report you to the SPCPC (Society for the prevention of cruelty to Pentax cameras)!!! That poor little KP looks a mess!
It never missed a beat, and is still going strong.

Something else on the Peak Design is the cording that's bonded into the round clips is designed to change color when stressed and in need of replacement. Their fasteners are solid and easy to use. Really like what I have from them - a slide strap and a hand grip that lets me solidly handle my K-1 with one hand. I can clip either on/off easily as needed.

lots of discussion in the forum on the best straps and connectors

the real answer is what fits you best

personally I use the Optech USA over the shoulder utility strap

https://optechusa.com/utility-strap-sling.htmlin

in combination with the Joby Ultrafit handstrap with ultra plate

New JOBY Camera Straps! UltraFit Hand Strap with UltraPlate & DSLR Wrist Strap - JOBY Blog

the utility strap attaches to the upper side of the DSLR and the hand strap attaches there too with the ultraplate affixes to the bottom but has attachment point for a tripod

I use a joby camera tether as a Safety attached to the same point as the strap with the loop around the sling

OK.......All you peak design fans convinced me, I just ordered two sets of their AL-4 Anchor links from B&H so I can quick change my straps.

I've been using the PD strap for several months. The quality is very good.

I just bought a set, and the slide strap too. So far so good.
