Ha ha... Excellent

This is pretty indicative of most articles in British photography magazines, with the exception of the weekly "Amateur Photographer" which, in the few pages given over to articles rather than advertising, doesn't have enough space available for such comprehensive advice

Will your site include all those photoshopped ads saying "Not photoshopped, look closer!" ?

Great ideas. A few more:

1) Dribble droplets of corn syrup on the lens and then become poetic about the "artistic" random distortions and flare created in backlit shots of some bearded person.

2) Flog a home-made flash modifier with wax paper wrapped like a tube around the flash that supposedly acts as a color-warming diffusor.

3) Or just go straight for the poverty porn.

I'm disappointed @clackers hasn't covered low light photography in his initial articles.

Coincidentally, I have six good tips he could use... if that would help...

Thanks, guys, the huge number of clicks I'll get will mean I can use them in an email exchange with a sales rep. I'll get an A7 III for free if I follow up with a 'Why I'm Swapping to Sony' article.

I want one of those before an after pictures where you move your cursor and it shows you the before and after with specific effects.

1. Know your settings
I don't really know anything, why would I start now?

QuoteQuote:
2. It's all about the light
I prefer photography in the dark, it's more private.

3. It's all about the gear
Unless it's not. Having gear is over-rated.

4. Don't give up.
What if I already did?

5. Think outside the box
Where I live it's much warmer inside the box. Who's going to pay for the gloves and mittens?

QuoteQuote:
6. Use some sort of phone app
Like using a pencil to dial your rotary phone?

I don't gt any of it.

Internet in the age of auto generated content... or at least I keep thinking all this stuff is mostly auto generated.

Clackers, the best past it, once you master one of these genres, the same tips apply to many others.

I'm guessing … picture taken up close of a homeless, possibly mentally ill guy?

So easy to do.

"Poverty porn" another name for gear porn or lens porn. Want to guess how I know?
