Help me choose this year's Fair submissions

Hi All,

Over the past few years that I've been a member of this forum I've asked for help in culling down my photos to submit to the local county fair. I ask for your help again in choosing the best 10 or so images to submit.

Thank you for your help.

UPDATE: Since people here and elsewhere suggested a I crop a few of these I've done that and posted them under the originals for comparisons. I think a couple of them work better cropped, so Thanks for the suggestions.

Since the Critique section is about helping with fixing photos, that was not the place to ask for help in picking photos for a fair. I've moved your thread to General Photography forum, which better suits this type of scenario.

Some fantastic images!

I'd go with #1, #2 (after you level the waterline), and #5

I'd say #2 (but suggest cropping to just the 3 dolphins), #7, #13, #15. Good luck.

Agree. Whichever others are included, 3 and 15 are most striking to me.

My favourites are:

1, perhaps crop tighter?

3, an unusual view.

5, perfect timing!

Thank you. Funny thing is I look at the other posts that people do on the forum and I wonder the exact same thing.

Here is my critique. All are very good. To keep it short I will concentrate on the negatives.

Some of the images are a bit lacking in contrast but with wildlife and airshows you have to take what you can get on the day. Perhaps a bit of post processing can perk things up on some of them.

1. Pretty good, perhaps not enough contrast on the bird.

2. Crop it.

3. Good one.

4. Seems a little overexposed.

5. Excellent but the light was not working in your favor.

6. Great!

7. Nothing in the foreground, a bit boring.

8. Great!

9. Good.

10. Nice colors, but the the fact that one can see that the animal is in captivity is distracting.

11. Crop it.

12. Good.

13. Good.

14. No real centre of interest or colors to make it work.

15. Wonderful! The best one.
