Why I won't buy into another camera brand - I'm keeping my Pentax gear.

So, why will I not buy another camera brand:

1. I can't afford to switch system - too much invested already
2. I am too lazy to learn how to use another system

How about you ?

There are other camera brands? Next thing you'll suggest I stop buying Fords.

If I had to start over from scratch, I would probably go with Canon or Nicon. There are just so many more options with those 2 marques.
Nikor glass... (and, of course, ).

I usually go about 5 years at least between camera replacements. Given the current contraction of the discrete camera industry and the plethora of new lens mounts/systems currently launching, and the fact that I bought a KP last year, I think it would be absolutely foolish for me to start into a different system now. I figure in five years things will be completely different.

Yeah ... well, Ford is stopping production of all "non-truck" vehicles (partly true, seemingly).
If you bought an F150, you're in business!
I'd suggest an old Fiesta
I will have to edit my initial post though ... I've just Google'd "Non-Pentax Cameras" and "they" don't exist!

I'd like an F250, but they don't fit in parking bays here.
I did have a F100 years ago. Was a lovely truck - just thirsty.

What another camera brands... (naive)

No kidding.. Let alone the IQ (which is topping the charts all along) the ergonomics on the Pentax pro bodies are the best of all I can tell you that for sure. These Pentax pro bodies just warm up to you and start talking as soon as you glove them on.

Yeah, many of their "trucks" are some sort of "cross-over" - an SUV with auto-like characteristics.

That would be sort of like Pentax releasing a camera with a hybrid viewfinder - hard to give a meaningful classification to.

I will keep my ford. It is older than I am! 1962 Fairlane two door, even comes with a built in anti theft device. 3 on the tree!
Plus I still have my first SLR camera. Pentax MV1

I already have Sony, Canon and Samsung, but the Pentax stuff is what I use again and again, I'd sell the others first if I had to.
