BTW, you can see that the post has been up for 17 hours but the numbers viewing are so low - only nine likes ATM.

This shows the fallacy of people who say the internet cuts advertising costs. It doesn't, it cuts the cost of producing content but doesn't reach anybody unless you start to pay a lot of money, more than ever before, so that's why Google has become the richest advertising agency the world's ever seen.

Facebook recently changed their news feed algorithms (as a sledgehammer way to slow the spread of fake news) and greatly reduced the reach of posts made by pages. This is just an unfortunate manifestation of that, which is a shame. Time to switch over to Twitter!

Don't think it can ever be a case of one over the other, Adam, you reach people in different ways.

The Aussie Twitter feed in any case got just three likes and three retweets when the DFA 24-70 f2.8 launched.

Paying for ads and placement on all these platforms rather than making content and hoping someone runs into it is how it's done, and that's very costly.

And even paid ads are now the target of increased scrutiny due to the fake news plague. They were once worth it in our context, but that is no longer the case.
