About six people with phones (and maybe a tablet) would be more like it!

Love it
Here's one of my favorites from way back. Unfortunately, the hilarious accompanying photos seemed to have disappeared - still funny though.

Meanwhile, you'd be guaranteed to win "best decomposition!"
I like it - my message should have read "hold a competition to see who gets the best composition of the decomposition". Wait - thats now creepy and inappropriate - withdrawn!

Presumably, the “Dad” part of the headline was because he was using a DSLR. He’d have been a “Hipster” if it was a retro film camera, so what would he have been with a MILC?

All the Canon and Nikon owners seem to know that professional tip...

There are wedding photographers, so why not funeral photographers - or is that thinking outside the box ?

There are funeral photographers. "funeral photography" turns up plenty of hits of pro-photographers offering the service, how-to articles, etiquette, etc. There's probably a cultural shift needed for it to hit mainstream.

No repeat business makes it a tough field - you might be able to photograph a person's wedding 3 or 4 times, but they only get one funeral. Referrals will be the name of the game.

I suspect they would not crowd in next to the coffin with the family... If expect more discreet technique.
