Not affected at all in that I don't think I've ever bought a German lens as new. Second hand, sure, but never new. Soooooo....,
Someone in England or France can buy that Otus new then I'll pick it up when they resell it. Works for me.

If someone sends it to you secondhand import tariffs may still apply.

We will see how the distributors manage this. There was plenty of advance warning and the buzz is that many distributors have been stockpiling to buffer the impact.

It affects anyone buying from a dealer that gets their stock from a U.S. importer. As a result, Canadians may also be paying higher prices depending on who they buy from. Edit: The official distributor for B+W in Canada is Red Raven Marketing in Ontario.

So I guess that's one thing that won't be cheaper to order from B&H.

Interesting information, good luck to our American friends wanting German lenses. Another positive for my Pentax addiction not spreading away from Asahi products

Stupid question here!
what about Cosina Voigtlande?

from wiki: Since 1999, Voigtländer-branded products have been manufactured and marketed by the Japanese optics and camera company Cosina, under license from RINGFOTO GmbH & Co. ALFO Marketing KG; for these, see Cosina Voigtländer.

it is a Japanese? it is a German?

Made in Japan...I can't imagine that Cosina ships their stuff for the US from anywhere else. (RINGFOTO holds the trademarks)

? The article only is about the EU tariffs if there are tarrifs going in on Chinese and Japanese products for photography it would probably be useful to start a thread about that.
My bad. You are right. Maybe this was a premonition of things to come!!
