Prince memoirs, w/Pentax Spotmatic? on cover

The book The Beautiful Ones,memoirs of Prince,includes a collection of his snapshots.Cover
shows him with what looks like a Spotmatic. Wasn't a huge fan,but he was one hell of a guitar
player.May be an interesting read.

Probably. My variation on this has been to use another body to take the shot via self timer or remote.

I have a few shots of comparable vintage of me in a mirror with a XATNEP camera. This picture of Prince makes me feel slightly cooler now.

Looks to me like the camera is pointing at the wrong angle to be a mirror "selfie". It's like he's pointing the camera slightly away. Somebody may have printed the negative the wrong way or flipped the image for the purpose of composition.

The layout of the photograph is consistent with the way the camera's pointing. Film camera selfies always involved some guesswork since you couldn't get immediate feedback.
