A couple snap-shots from tonight

My Granddaughter has a new toy. She looks a bit perplexed by the new gadget.

OK, now she seems to be getting the idea.

I guess batteries would help, but she doesn't need to know that right now.

Nice, did she intuitively lift the camera before her eye or was there some help involved? It would be nice to see that the camera is an intuitive design.

I would hazard a guess, based on the observed behaviours of a couple of kids in the neighbourhood, that she was trying to work out how to play a game on it.... Too many kids these days grow up associating cameras with smartphones, I had one little tyke ask me how I made a phone call on mine!

Nice images though, and good grand parenting by starting her early.

Actually, I was holding my KP and putting my eye to the viewer so she started to mimic what I was doing.

She understands that cameras take pictures, she just wasn't sure how this gadget worked. She helps me gather things for my camera bag and is very inquisitive about what I am doing. I show her photos from my camera all the time. I have a feeling she's going to take up the hobby eventually.
