I roam the streets looking for patterns of light. Harsh sunlight and deep shadows are a good thing for me.

Rainy days are good too.

Overcast days just suck.

I do like high-contrast pictures! And rainy days are great; I think that wet, reflective surfaces can add a lot of depth to otherwise boring scenes. Overcast days are primarily closeup foliage days for me.

Rainy days are what Pentax gear is designed for 🙂

Wright Morris was a master of the mundane. He's one of my all time favourites.

and never, never, ever any people (you'll find that people are very rare in my shots)...

I can see you're in the countryside (perhaps) in the midwest (perhaps), but your photos have given me a late-night craving for food at Otto's Cafe. It looks like the type of place where I ate as a kid in some random midwest town with really good food at wallet friendly prices that came hot off the grill to your table. None of this warming light, where's the waiter stuff....

Thanks for tolerating my little off-topic cravings, but ... seriously, your photos are quite enjoyable. And... I'm hungry.

thank you...

Otto's is good for breakfast, but if it is lunch or dinner, it'll be Harry's a couple of blocks south - best diner burger in the 4-state area.....

and you're right - we live in the country, nearest neighbors are almost 1/2 mile away, all the way out here in SW Missouri...

Thanks for all the suggestions, plenty of inspiration there. Keep 'em coming if you've got any more ideas. Cheers
