I have one, and I've used it. And I've ended up with overlapping frames. (On one memorable occasion, all the shots were on a single frame.) I've had a few rolls that turned out all right.

Lately, though, every roll has had overlapping frames, even though I followed the loading instructions very carefully. Can these things be fixed? Does anyone know?

Seems to have been a design issue through the Pentacon 6 models, since even the Kiev models that were based on that design had the same problem as I recall.

I would test the camera with the paper roll from the film, with the back off/open. Do what you would normally do to start a roll of film, click the shutter, advance, and so on for the complete roll. You should discover if the roll is advancing properly and if not. Listen to the wind lever to determine in you here any non-normal noises (sounds of skipping gears, etc.). Can it be fixed? Probably, as it was a manual camera with gears and springs. Finding a person for this work will be the trick. Possibly KEH.

Good luck!

Thanks! I'm taking it to a place today that, evidently, does repair such cameras.

I took it in. The guy opened it, wound it, and saw the crinkly shutter curtain. He said that may well be the problem. (How does the shutter curtain prevent the film from winding correctly?)

So I left it there. They'll replace the shutter curtain and clean it. And then? We shall see.
