Any recommendations of channels/videos on introduction to photography that that would be good for kids to learn from? I'm thinking of trying to get mine some better info to learn the basics that doesn't talk over their heads (which I find myself doing as well, hence why I'm asking).

Mike Browne is very good and Josh Cripps videos are fun. Photography pro also covers some great subjects

The PhotographyOnline channel has several segments where one of the hosts is teaching his young daughter how to use a camera, very informative, understandable, and well paced. Plus, it's part of a larger show which demonstrates other aspects of photography, which can inspire anyone to learn.

That was an excellent video and I have subscribed. I see there are lots more on that channel so you know where I will be for a while. His style and manner are refreshing and with substance. TFS.
I would only add, that you can surprise yourself with your own success when you try these things with intent.

Edit: I am really enjoying the content on this channel, I might even consider a workshop in time.

Glad you've found something you enjoy from this thread. I'd be interested to know if you do complete a workshop, this gentlemen seems to be someone worth learning from.

You know you're getting in deep when you consider a one minute exposure to be "pretty quick."

That guy has some cool ideas, I need to do more outdoor lightpainting while the weather is warm but the days are still pretty long. I did but up blackout curtain in a few rooms, so I can try out some ideas indoors.

I won't kid myself that I'd actually make use of a darkroom, but this guy makes me want to try it out.
