Like I said, it was my opinion. I rarely take ordinary color photos these days and if I do, I use only Zeiss lenses.

Sadly, I've only been to Scotland once, so I'll take your word for it. My visit was during a time of unseasonably beautiful weather, especially for March. We did get a bit of snow during the trip from Edinburgh to the town of Biggar, but otherwise it was sunny, warm enough, and dry. As for BW, I also prefer it for the way it presents shapes and tones. I do not know if there is a technical or mechanical reason for this, but I know that imagery analysts of all sorts like to have the ability to view a subject in color and BW.
