I've got at least one of those. I mount a camera to one side of a binocular microscope with it.

Red 6x7

Is this a joke done in PhotoShop, or did it belong to a Fire Department?
Not sure if I should post it here or in the "Worst of Craiglist/Ebay" thread".
Looks like a work of the Devil. Not for candid photography anyway.

Even the caps were changed to red. It must have been quite an effort. At least the insides were left black.

While I wouldn't be interested in such a renovation, the paint job appears to be quite well done.

It certainly is. All the white lettered engravings and certain other details are preserved, really professional. I don't know how they managed it. I wonder if it was a special order from Pentax from eg a fire brigade/department (forensic section) as a deterrent to it being stolen.

I doubt it was anything other than someone thinking it would be a good idea. The hue is the sort of red you’ll find in a common spray can, and the coating over the body name plate looks thin, although that may just be the quality of the image. Also, the most prominent lettering on the body hasn’t been picked out in white. A waste of effort, in my view, and more likely to devalue the camera than improve it, but someone may like it enough to pay a premium for it.

Was this the official company magazine back in the Asahi days?

This K1000 looks factory fresh. Although it has seen little use, the light meter is not working anymore. The seals have been replaced FWIW.

A *istD for only USD20! The catch is that there are "specks" on the sensor. Scratches? But if you remove the glass over the sensor and turn it into an infrared camera, the "specks" will be gone. Or am I missing something?

Ever wanted a Pentax Practica LTL? That's what the ad calls it, so here is your chance.

To be fair, the opening bid is quite low and that Meyer Optik 50mm is tempting. It is possible to hack up a Practica to K mount adapter but I will let this one pass. My GAS is under control, I think...

This one is sold now. I can only wonder if the seller got his asking price. I also do not get the somewhat irrational love and premium prices for the K1000.

A chance to own a pic of history - the last Takumar branded lens? Not sure about that, so feel free to correct me.

It doesn't have a great reputation:

This one is for the collectors only.

A Takumar 135mm f/3.5 in what seems to be new old stock condition. Luckily I already have the K mount version.
