I am always fill of remorse when I buy stuff, I always feel I am giving pain to my partner. The worst is I when I buy stuff cheap on eBay that I swear I will sell on at a better price later or when I have fixed whatever problem its being sold cheap for and then find after having spent hours fixing it I cant part with it.

Three most recently....I paid out for a minolta lens that came with a free Minolta XD7. The XD was so neat that rather than sell it on as originally planned as I only really wanted the lens I decided to keep it and have it professionally CLAd...ouch double dose of remorse.

A Minolta X700 being sold cheap due to capacitor issues....I could fix it, put new seals in it, pair with a minolta lens I wasnt using and sell on to make a profit. It was easy to fix but now I cant part with it.

And only this week I bought a minolta X500 with capacitor problems, fixed but its quite nice and apart from the initial problem its near mint and I cant bear to sell it.

Thats a whole load of remorse.......
I have a new in the box Minolta x700 with unused Winder that believe it or not has a completely shot capacitor. Yeah that's one big regret also but at least I can talk about that one LOL

I bought a DA40mm Limited on impulse, and turns out it's been "tinkered" with and is sticky at infinite focus which I can't seem to fix. That and I didn't realise it was a crop lens... It's a cool lens but cost way too much for something that'll sit on my shelf

Q7. I'm too sensitive to ridicule to carry around a tiny, yellow camera with a giant, strap-on, magnifying eyepiece. Even writing the phrase, "strap-on", makes me blush.
I carry my yellow Q-7 everywhere - inside it's black bank.
In fact, its main value to me now is the fact that the entire kit is light.
Ridicule doesn't bother me, because people tend to ignore someone they think of as an amateur.
