I find for general use with the KP the 35 Macro is the right focal length unless there is a specific reason for wider or longer. This would be equal to about 50mm for FF. I do like the 20-40 because it's a WR lens, but usually, I am still using it at around 35mm. If I was only going to carry one lens, it would be the 35, unless I expected wet weather then the 20-40 would be mounted. But I very seldom only carry one lens.

MMM.... I'm into my 2nd week in a fabulous landscape spot (Flinders Ranges).... and most of my landscape shots have been with my SMC K 50/1.2.... and I was only reflecting on this yesterday (I have a heap of lenses with me).... would get a DFA 50 now I think for a walk around landscape solution etc.... but the 50/1.2 does the job.... it has me pondering how little need I have for a 20mm.... so if I could only have one lens.... it would be the DFA 150-450 (haha).

a couple of 50mm landscapes form this week

The single in challenge distorted me a bit I think (in a good way).... I almost prefer to almost use the wrong lens for a shot.... more fun and a different result. Maybe that is a style.... "what was he thinking.... but it sorta works"... mmm

Maybe start a 50mm Landscape thread.....
