Pentax DFA 150-450 on KP

Hi, I have a KP and have used my DFA 150-450 on it for the last year or so. It has been a great combo.
I have recently begun to get the F - - warning occasionally over the last month. It's a bit frustrating.
I cleaned the contacts with a microfibre cloth and it seemed to improve it somewhat. What is the best way to clean the lense/body contacts actually?
I always use a sash strap connected to the lense tripod mount as I think it gives better balance and theoretically stress the camera as much in my opinion.
Paul

I always use a microfibre cloth to clean camera and lens contacts, and find that works very well.
I also support off the tripod foot with a sling strap, works well.

Cheers,
Terry

Use a little bit of alcohol, some dirt can be stubborn even if you cannot see it. As pschlute suggests check if the mount and the bayonet are tight.

Isopropyl alcohol is electrically conductive, so make sure the camera and lens are dry before re-mounting. You don't want signals jumping from one contact to the other.

Some people(including myself), use pencil erasers, but this can get sloppy because then you have to spray off bit and pieces of the eraser that cling to the contacts. A Q-Tip dipped in Isopropyl alcohol, or Vinegar is your best bet. past.

Don't think I will try the eraser, but the Q tip sounds doable. Thanks.
