National Moth Week started on 18 July this year. Per Wikipedia:
"National Moth Week (NMW) is a worldwide citizen science project to study and record populations of moths, Lepidopteran insects closely related to butterflies. The annual event is held in the last week of July. It encourages scientists and non-scientists to participate in mostly night-time surveys of moths."
If you're looking for an excuse to get out and take some photos, this is it!
