'Emerald Lake' seeking...

Hi Pentaxians

Is there anyone who has a nice picture (possibly in Raw or DNG, not necessarily Pentax) of the famous lake, can you post a link?

Thanks in advance, Mario

From here in New Zealand it takes a fairly long telephoto. How about this?

You can not see the emerald green of the lake, also is not in raw or dng, I need it for studying.

Grazie, Mario

As beautiful as the lake was I would describe the water more as Jade coloured on the day we were there.
Given the clear day I wouldn't expect the lake to get much more emerald like than this or is it a seasonal thing?
I have it in raw but it is obviously not what you want. Would you care to clarify just what you are studying?

This is a shot of Emerald Lake in Canada. Sorry about the haze. It was taken during the summer of 2017 when there were lots of forest fires.

Hi GUB,

It's a picture in a book by Dan Margulis, you know?
And it's about the techniques from the basic ones to the more advanced ones on color correction through the L.a.b method, of which Dan is the master.
He often comes to Italy and generally to Europe to give courses on colour correction.

I would need a photo where you can see the particular green of the water possibly Raw/Dng.

Thanks, Mario

Hi Isimpkins,

I thank you for the image posted, the mist is not important was important to see the green of the trees and water,
as I explained earlier I need it as a study image for color correction in the L.a.b method

Saluti Mario

In Gimp I apply the unsharp mask to the L layer to create a kind of "LR clarity " and apply a little contrast to the A and B layers to boost colour a little. Is it sort of along these lines?

Obviously it's not the program, but the color method used L.a.b that makes the difference and is very complicated to assimilate, everyone I know uses Photoshop.

Ciao M.
