The photos in the story are mostly Kodak and Russian stuff. Lots of quantity over quality...Except the two photos of Retinas...

With rows of identical Brownies, I think it is more of a monument to a man's obsession than a museum. A museum would have only one of each type.

I have a little of that obsession myself, with multiple examples of the same Soviet lenses - different years, slightly different styles... I understand his problem, even if I'm nothing like so badly affected

Rows and rows of Instamatics and Brownies? Meh. That is a little crazy but I get it.

I cannot criticize him about multiple examples of the same thing. After all, I do own the following lenses in the telephoto range:
  • 85mm
  • 70-210mm
  • 80-200mm
  • two 70-300mm
  • 100mm
  • two 100-300mm
  • two 135mm
  • two 200mm
  • 300mm

Please do let us know when you start scouting out the local town for unused warehouse space, dormant social halls, or closed shops.

Do you think you might find a few Instamatics in that collection for refurbishment?

And I wonder sometimes about my modest collection of ten 50mm lenses or several Spotmatics.
