Money laundering is a thing these days.

QuoteQuote:
The proceeds of crime are increasingly laundered online, using methods ranging from improbably expensive ebooks and eBay listings to cryptocurrencies such as ZCash and thousands of micropayments through online transaction systems (The Guardian). Research indicates that around $200 billion is laundered online every year, of a worldwide money laundering total estimated by the UN to be in the region of $2 trillion. Other 'cyberlaundering' tactics for erasing the criminal origins of money include using Uber to book "ghost journeys", booking Airbnb rooms that will never be used and buying and selling expensive, tradeable items in games including FIFA and CounterStrike.

I know it is meant for the Pentax* 6x7 leaf shutter lens; I don't have one but I believe that plug is a normal PC flash plug and the screw threads are not essential. On that basis I got an unbranded equivalent to this for £2.99 a couple of years ago - the postage cost me more. The last PF reviewer of one of these paid $30.

I love this bit :

USD1618 is a lot of money to ask for a K-3 II, but this one comes with a 16-85mm kit lens. That makes it all right, I guess.

Not just a regular one, though. It's a wagon, with the simulated wood grain like a mini Country Squire. And wire wheel (hubcaps). It has survived fire, rust and 42 years. It could be the last one!

Someone local wants 10 grand for a 1988 toyota corolla gts. People think if it's old and not completely falling apart it's worth something.

If it's in good shape, that's actually not too bad. Stupid expensive yes but some people will pay it. The owner probably went to a site like "bringatrailer . com" and saw what they're bringing at auction.. A mint condition, restored '86 Corolla GTS went for over $30,000.
