I have described my father as that - he took weddings on Saturdays, working for a local studio, but had an unrelated day job, and photography was also a hobby. I learned photography at his knee.
But I don't get why that is supposed to make that job-lot more attractive to a buyer (if it does) - professional kit is more likely to have been worked hard and knocked about. I prefer to buy used kit from careful amateurs. I avoid buying used kit from dealers too, even though they announce that they are dealers like it is meant to be a good thing.
