Non-Working Ring Flash for £149.99 Quote: ... can confirm that the modelling lights do come on but it does seem like that the flash part itself is not 'charging' up, if that makes sense.
Yeah, makes perfect sense - it's busted.
Quote: Guessing it's an easy repair
A guess worth £150! Just think what their
actual knowledge must be worth! Here's some
free actual knowledge from me though : I've repaired flash units and it ain't easy.
Pentax AF160FC Ring Flash - Faulty! | eBay PS: Funny how people set prices a penny less than a round figure. Do they expect there will be people who say "
I could afford £149.99 but I just can't find another penny to reach £150". Perhaps they could find that extra penny down the back of the sofa?
The reason why shops [when people paid cash] set prices a penny short of a round number was mainly to force employee shop assistants to ring up the price on the till in order to open it to find the penny change, as most customers would proffer cash in a round number. That stopped the assistant from simply pocketing the money. The delay for waiting for change also made the customer witness it being rung up, which was some deterrent. I guess it has become a tradition even with mail order.
