Amazing, I was going to say exactly that too.

I'll qualify a bit though. The WG-6 replaces my old Optima W80 as my kayak camera, although I do have several water proof boxes or bags for any other camera I take on the water. Oh and my WG-6 has a float attached...

+1 for a way cool set up.

I don't have a beater camera, nor do I really get into situations where I'd need one. Like this unfortunate soul.

(Check the video description for a link to someone else's video showing this happening from a different vantage point)

I did relegate my Olympus E-500 to my kids to learn with, but I guess that would technically be my beater if it came down to it. It's not that great by today's standards, and paid less than $100 for it and the two lenses. So not out much if it was destroyed.

I have a waterproof film compact for such situations, or numerous film SLRs I'd be willing to risk. I took an SFXn and M 50/1.7 (total cost around $60) to a busy festival a few years ago and didn't need to worry about it much, plus it gave me great photos.

That's why I kept my K-7. Most of the uses for a beater camera are in daylight and the camera is pretty good in daylight. It also has live view and other features so it's sort of current. Its used value has always been lower than I want, so I was never thrilled with selling it.

Sony a100 with a couple of Minolta zooms. Don't have to worry about it because everything is cheap to replace.

With the exception of those kept for parts, I don't have any beater cameras. That said, I will take my FED-2 into the city with much less concern than if I were carrying the Canon P.

Back in the film days, I used to carry a Nikonos as my beater camera. I had picked up a V at a pawnshop for cheap because the guy thought it was a P&S camera. That thing was indestructible! With digital, I don't really have a beater camera per-se, but I do carry a camera with me much of the time. It's just that I take better care of it these days. I used to carry my Q or K10D, but lately I've been carrying a Lumix GH-4 with an 14-140mm lens. So far, it's been a pretty good set-up for stills, as well as video.

Back in the day I owned a pair of Fujica 605s as beaters for places where I mah not want to risk a Nikon plus because they were M42 mounts it allowed me to use a huge range of glass.

I only do film and my beaters change periodically. Did have a Chinon CM3, then a CE5. Current beater is a Minolta X700.

This is why I bought a Pentax. It can take a lot of abuse.

I think my Nikon D3100 just became the beater. Still capable enough of a camera for general use but not enough value to deal with Craigslist flakes in trying to sell it.

I've been deliberating with getting another camera body as a 'less expensive, carry anywhere' option but keeping coming unstuck at which to plumb for.
The Sony a6000 is a reasonably obvious choice for me, given I have a a7iii as my main body, but the Fuji APS-C's look excellent, especially the X-E2/3 as a carry around option.

K-50 and 18-135mm, and my self white solenoid replacement. It's my default walk around in crappy weather camera. I just need an outfit that is also good to protect me in crappy weather.

I wouldn't consider my gear "beater" material by any means but having WR bodies and lenses certainly lowers any anxiety is have about going into less than ideal conditions. Would still pack a dry bag.

This has got me thinking. My intentions have been to sell my perfect K-5, since I continue to enjoy both my KP and K-5 IIs bodies on a regular basis, but the rugged original K-5 would make an excellent beater camera. I also have the small, easy to tote DA-L 18-50mm WR I could use as a beater lens.
