My first SLR was a Cosina STL 1000, I really loved the lens on it because it would swirl the bokeh like the Hellios 44-2.

I wanted to buy one for old times sake, but I see they offer it in both a 1.7 and 1.8 version. Was this just the same lens just numbered differently?

That's the one I'm after! Couple days ago I ordered what I thought was the 1.7, but I just looked at the auction photos and it's actually the 1.8.
It was listed as a 1.7 in the title I didn't bother looking closely at the photos, it looks IDENTICAL to the 1.7 though. Will find out if it has the swirl when it gets here.

The one I had back in the day swirled it even more than those examples. Guessing slight variances in the quality control.
