Ownership of cameras and lenses - short survey

Hi!

A different kind of thread, hopefully it is permitted.

I am conducting basic research about ownership of cameras and lenses for a personal project.
It would be great if you could fill an anonymous 3min survey and share it with other photographers you know!
Ownership of Interchangeable Lens Cameras and Lenses Survey

Thanks,

Tiago

I don't see a problem with the survey but will appreciate it if you post your results here.
Also, did you know that you can conduct surveys here on PF using our regular posting tools?

Thanks for your reply, Mark. I am happy to share the results here.

I remember there might being a survey tool here but I am also trying to reach photographers outside the Pentax brand.
I appreciate everyone's help. 10 answers already!

Thank you. It's something simple I've been developing on the side.

I am curious about the question asking about the height of the lenses. Were you intending to ask about focal length?

Hi Sidney, Thanks for your help.

The height is relevant as there is a dimensional constraint in what I am designing.

Given Covid-19 the results can be very different now. For example my professional use for theatre photography is now zero, and thus 90% of use gone. But maybe that is part of the motivation?

And no long backpacking or canoeing trips, hardly any museums/trips to same--guess if I leave out testing cameras/lens I am at 1% of normal use.

I'd bet more something for semi-permanent storage at home, from the last question.

I think 'length' of your lens in lieu of 'height' would be a more accurate description of what you are asking for. Height can also be interrupted has the diameter of the lens if you didn't happen to mention the front and rear lens caps.

"Length over 22cm" might also be interpreted as "how many long teles" :P

Something like "physical length" or "mount-to-front height"?

Just started the survey and I am wondering: Do you ask only for digital cameras or for old analog as well?
