Photographing America by Streetlight

A BBC article, worth a look.

"British photographer Daniel Freeman travelled more than 25,000 miles (40,000km) across the US to capture scenes of small towns lit only by streetlights, shop fronts and moonlight."

Photographing the "endless diversity" of America by streetlight - BBC News

Says the photographer, "The more I travel America [USA], the more I love it."

I enjoy this type of evocative imagery.

Thanks for sharing this. I enjoyed these images and quite envy that he has a vision to create a body of work like this.

I like new topographics type stuff but somehow these didnt quite get there. I like the least "objective" photo in the series best. The layered looking out.

Not Disneyland

I like places and things that are older, a little run down and a bit rough around the edges.

The skies look...almost drawn on?

It's a bit fantastical, then again, i've lived all my life in the midst of some of the world's worst light pollution so it's very striking.
