Pentaxians Yearbook 2020 is out and available for free download

Please delete if not wanted -

Over at the other side of the internet we released the now fourth Pentaxians yearbook.

If you would like to have a look at it, just download the PDF file on The PENTAXIANS Yearbook 2020 . There are 2 versions - a online version with all contributions and a print version limited to around 300 pages. The link for the print version is just above the order button ;-)

Thank you for your comment - It is a big pile of work every year, but the result is always worth it.

Thanks to you, Bela and the other volunteers for all the unbillable hours you've put in!

And congrats to the contributors, many of them are fellow PF members, I know.

Design and production wise, these annuals are beautiful, I recommend people purchase it in hardback, it'll make a great coffee table book.

Thank you for that nice comment Ian - with the 2018 Edition we really leveled up the game and I have expensive photography books at home which don't come even close to the production level we have now.

Some really phenomenal pictures in there, as every year. In fact, every single one of them is really great. What a high standard!

I downloaded the pdf from the website, but there are some pictures that seem to have suffered from too much jpeg compression or low resolution or something like that, as if a thumbnail was included instead of the original file.
The one on page 46 "SUNRISE AT THE PIER" looks like the resolution is just a little too low, compared to the other pictures, but the one on page 48 "SAHARAN DUST OVER FLORIDA GULF COAST" looks really blotchy because of giant pixels. "BEACHED" on page 368 looks a little weird as well.
Do they look like that to anyone else?

I noticed that as well... I suppose it was an issue while creating the pdf file, those things unfortunately happen.

So many astonishing photos there, really lovely book... I might order the physical copy.

May I mention the caveat contained on the download page :

'The electronic version (.pdf 120 MB) of the book contains all images in reduced resolution to avoid illegal usage and copyright violations. This book may not be copied or distributed in any way nor uploaded to any other location than this website.'

This may explain the comments concerning the image quality.

I signed up for a physical copy, does anyone know, when the actual printing process will start, and delivery? At least I didnt see an answer on Facebook.
