I think the argument that full frame is bigger and heavier is not as convincing when we include mirrorless systems in the comparison.
As an owner of a Sony A7C, I have to agree. I got it for when the K-1 ii is too large to comfortably carry. I love the size and AF, but one needs to bear in mind the size of lenses. For wide angle there are benefits to mirrorlsss, for tele much less so. And at Pentax we are blessed with the compact Limited, which are small for the quality they offer.

For the DA 40/2.8 lens to truly be equivalent to the old M series 40/2.8, it would need to be a 40/2 lens, and would be much larger.

Guru Ken does not like it when we try to access his precious images directly.

What happened?

The owner of this website (KenRockwell.com: Photography, Cameras and Taking Better Pictures) does not allow hotlinking to that resource (/nikon/images1/45-p/D3S_5313-600.jpg
Here is what the lens looks like, from another site. The image is almost identical to the one that Guru Ken uses.

They've just start shipping in Japan, and some people already got theirs.
Side by side comparison with J5 and DF.
Looks like the finishing is nice.

Anyway, Z FC stands for Z series Fusion Casual.
This camera is aimed at the amateur/beginners consumer market.

I was about to ask which 1 that was, but when quoting I saw it is the J5. Is that a standard issue? Looks really great

Yeah, too bad that the whole system was discontinued a while ago.

Looking at the marketing, Nikon is clearly marketing this camera to appeal to young women, but the joke is going round in Japan that this camera is proving to be irresistible to elderly gents (and not young women at all).

Mind you, that could be said about Pentax and almost all cameras. The Zfc looks like a nice camera wanting for lenses whoever might be tempted to buy it.
