In Western Canada you can have a free issue of Photo News. I have a nice glossy print magazine delivered to me as well as a digital. I admit I never look at the digital. It's the hard copy for me.,

Here's a link to sign up for free.

How about magazines with good photography instead of photography magazine?
Is there anything like "LIfe" magazine of today?

I used to buy UK photography mags at the news stand because they had much more photography content and much less gear content compared to US mags

You and I are alike in this aspect. I'm the same way with maps too. Give me a paper map any day.

If I don’t purchase a photo magazine from them, I am probably going to give them money for a magazine related to travel, cars, or music 😉

Interesting -- wonder why they offer free publications for Canadian residents? Is it supported by the government or something?

I haven't seen a good newsstand in years. There are certainly none where I live.

Magazines and newspapers are dropping like flies, as are local newsrooms.
Most people in USA are content with what they can get online for "free" - ads and all.

One that I do enjoy and subscribe to here in the Scotland, titled Black & White Photography, well worth a look in IMHO.

I think I've seen that here in the US. Oftentimes, the BW-centric publications hold my interest longer. I think the biggest obstacle to purchasing more magazines is that I'm currently purging my shlves and closets and downsizing, so I'm reluctant to bring more into my space.

Aye I know where you're coming from, but this one as publications go... is only the slimmest of magazines.

The magazine is supported by industry suppliers of gear. Yes it's a form of marketing. But it's free and the pictures are nice to look at.
