Why stick to 3D ? Why not have one that would go backwards and forwards in time too ? That could have multiple applications, in forensic work for a start.

Looks like weapons grade bullshit to me. Looking at the physics behind it (to the extent it is revealed) you are sacrificing a lot for a relatively minor benefit.

There are superior light-field solutions capable of far higher levels of resolution and operational flexibility out there.

That's cool, I was wondering when they were going to make more advanced light field stuff.
It's out of my price range.

Maybe try a cheap m42 flanged adapter and screw it in and out a few times? Try Teflon Dry lube? (This is a spray not powder like graphite).
