Nothing big this year, I had to recover from last year, almost bought the 21mm on Black Friday sales. OK, something small: Some film rolls. I inherited (so no purchase) a 6x9 camera which I have to try out now.

My favorite for this year was the Irix 150mm/f2.8 macro

I bought the DA15 in March which has been a resounding success as a lens. I also bought a Tenba BYOB 10 for my messenger bag, which nicely accommodates all my lenses and the KP. It would also be nice if I could get the DA70 in 2022, which will round things out but I'll have to wait and see.

I bought a K-1 earlier this year. Gotta say it's a pretty nice camera

This year has been pretty good to me regarding new acquisitions. My top item has to be the SMC K 28mm f/2 manual lens, one of the most revered classic lenses there is and probably the #1 28mm. I was lucky enough to find one locally and at a price that left it clear the seller had not done his research on the value of what he was selling. It's a lens that I never thought I'd own or even use and it's every bit as good as the reviews say.

The number of photos in the corresponding Flickr album though, show that the DA 20-40mm Limited has produced more photos worth putting on the web, which is down to the flexibility and ease of use of an AF zoom compared to a manual prime. I'm really happy with this one too, but the K 28mm really thrilled me when I saw it was within my grasp.

The A 35mm f/2 I bought towards the end of the year is something I'm also quite happy about (since I love it's older M cousin) but I haven't had enough chance to use it yet to assess properly what it can do.

One of my favourite lenses. I hope you're enjoying it.
The Sigma 17-50 seems good but I need more time with it. 2022 should be better.

It was a really nice lens with the KP. There was some visible CA outside of the center, but nothing bad.

I've de-acquired much more than acquired in 2021, but no doubt my favorite acquisition has been the Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 180mm f/2.5 IF - 63B 35th Anniversary Edition. That lens is gold.

I managed to track down a coveted 200f teleconverter through KEH. Just in terms of rarity, I am pleased that I bagged that one.
Still haven't taken the time to properly compare it with the Pentax 2X-L, although I can say it is for sure less convenient to mount, and that neither seems obviously worse or better than the other.
Still, the collector in me is wearing a smile from that one.
I've long been curious about the 200F, sometimes to the point of looking for a good deal but then forgetting about. So I'm a bit envious...

The night before Christmas (honestly !) I received my NTM ED WR (non-PLM - let others iron out any bugs !) 55-300 lens - since when, the weather has been so Charlie Roger that I have not had a chance to test it ! Friday (New Year's Eve in old money) looks better, so a day in the field running tests is called for, I think - may even forego breakfast to make as much use of the light as I can !

This year I replaced my Canon EF equipment with Pentax lenses. I bought an FA 50mm f.1,4 and then an A 24-50 f. 4 also DA 300mm f.4 D-FA 100mm f.2,8 macro WR . The three Amigos: 31mm, 43mm, 77mm. Also a Tamron 500mm f.8 Mirror. Next year I will continue with the purchases, I do not know yet what.

K1 ii at the beginning of the year, & just bought a Tamron AF SP 17-35mm f/2.8-4 Di LD. It
gives me from 17mm to 320mm with four lenses, & as my main transport is a motorbike, the
less I have to pack for a day out, the better. Even BMW R1100RT's have a limit to what
they can carry, & I am not buying a Honda Goldwing Also picked up a Kenko AF MC7
2x converter

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's wimped out from photography due to our weather. It's been rotten, hasn't it?!
