My Your Best Photo+ Submission was Selected!

While I have reached that point where I can also derive some pleasure from an image just meeting my own pretty harsh standards - probably not the worst strategy for our picture-sodden or even picture-indifferent age - there remains a special thrill when qualified others express such a degree of appreciation for one of our shots. You have captured some seriously nice atmosphere there, I must say. Congratulations, well done.

Thanks all for the positive feedback. I am just a hobby photographer and don’t really share my work beyond family and this forum so it was really nice to get some recognition beyond my usual small circle. There are lots of great photographers here and most of what I know I learned from reading all your forum advise and then trying it out. I actually learned about the Your Best Photos program from others here on the forum so I know there are more than a few who have also been recognized there. Keep on being an awesome online community, and thanks again.

Oh Awesome! Congratulations! That one stood out to me in the collection. The eyes and face of the owl and the soft blurring of the leaves, very cool!
