When on bird 'hunting' , DFA 150-450.
When walking in a zoo, or any other situation that weight is a issue, my FF converted DA 60-250

I guess my camera would describe me as polyamory. I just can't settle on one favorite lens.

Recently, my 2 most used lenses have been the 150-450 (on K3III), and 15-30 (K1), but two others are getting a lot of work as well: DFA50 and 85.

Depends totally on the kind of photography I am doing that day. If out birding, 55-300 (with 150-500 as second choice). Railways - 18-135. Landscape - whatever takes my fancy for the shot I want. Macro - Sigma 105. All on K3 - 100-300 lives on my K20D for bird shots out of window.

For me, it depends on the year. Using lightroom metadata, in 2019 the most used lens was FA 50mm macro, followed by DA 50-135mm. In 2020 the FA 50mm macro is followed by DA 35mm macro, In 2021 the DA 50-135mm is followed by FA 50mm macro, and the DA 20-40mm a close third. And so far in 2022, it's the DA 20-40mm followed by the DA 55-300mm PLM with the DA 35mm Macro coming in third.

For all years with just my Pentax KP, the FA50mm macro gets first place, with the DA 50-135 coming in second. This does not include the KS-2 or K-5.

35mm limited on my KP. Mainly because the focal length and speed (f2.8) is good for a wide range of shots, and the macro capability is just a very nice bonus! I do wish there was a faster 35mm prime for APSC, something like a 35mm f1.7

Yes they do. the Sigma Art 35 1.4 sounds like something the OP might look at. It's very good.

Well, the FA35 is f2, you basically won't be able to tell the difference from f1.7.

But the FA31 Limited is f1.8, there's your 'wow' lens, Avcb!

Most used? Probably the HD DA 18-50mm RE. Small, light, useful range, renders great, and is sharp.

I did look at the sigma 35 1.4, but was concerned with the bad AF inconsistency. I love Pentax lenses as was hoping there would have a fast 35mm. I like Fuji's fast prime offerings in that regard.

I may just need to buy the 31mm limited... but then I would also need a K1...
