I didn't realize how old my cameras are, and still going strong. Mind you, with the pandemic I haven't used them much recently, so cross my fingers.

On my k3II this annoying slow behaviour is also caused by digital filters. I tried the contrast increasing filter for mirror lenses - they typically need it and the result is good - but it proved unworkable : the delay to see a result on lcd is huge, and if you want take a series of pictures it is way too slow...

Maybe suggest resetting the camera...

( and do contrast correction & other image processing/corrections not in camera but in postprocessing on pc with DCU )

If you're shooting in RAW and your exposure's good then anything else can be done later when you have time and aren't risking losing a shot or not taking a second one because the first didn't come out as you wanted.

Last year I bought the K-1II for a good price. After that I slowly sold all my many many APSC lenses and bought a few good FF lenses. That was the goal: a smaller better kit! This Saturday I sold my old K-5IIs. I didn't really want to part with it, but keeping it and never using it seemed silly.

Now the guy that bought my camera keeps messaging me about how that there is a very big delay between taking a shot and seeing the image on the back LCD screen. I only saw the messages today, two days later. And he's already accusing me of ripping him off, because I hadn't responded yet. Honestly, the camera was functioning very well. It only had 10k shutter actuations. And I'm so careful with my stuff, it didn't even have any usage marks. It could go right back in the shop's display as new. It sure is true that it has a slow write speed, but it's also a 12 year old camera with speeds to match the technology of that day.

This situation is giving me so much anxiety that I'm about to offer to buy it back. Am I crazy?
Probably a slow and old card.I would not accept return given the age of the camera and that it functions well

Did you include the manual with the purchase? Half an hour is not enought to rtfm!
Lotīs of freaks out there that cannot live with 2 day response time or 2s display time..., but wanting a cheap price on a like new camera.

My pin hole camera takes for ever to draw an image. Displaying the image never worked.
