Out of interest, why did a thread about Pentax film cameras get moved out of the Pentax Film SLR forum and into Photographic Technique?
When I merged the "Danger Man" thread the system decided to move the thread to Photo Technique. I've moved it back to General Photography

I just watched an episode of Danger Man (the colonels daughter) and the colonel was using a Pentax SLR with a first model clip on light meter. Anyone else remember any old Pentax seen in a movie or TV show?
And a Pentax Copipod too.

Ringo Starr - Photograph - YouTube
Thanks, for that...yeah Beatax! Might make myself a sticker. Maybe it should be a Pentax Forums t-shirt? Had to turn the sound off, though, sadly. Lesser known fact: at the time he joined the band, Ringo was the most accomplished and experienced musician of them all. He gets little credit for it and his other work with the band (usually just gets knocked for the novelty songs he sang...).

Came here to mention a Pentax appearance in the Nextflix documentary "High Score" but there's a whole other thread about it:

Mamiya Press Camera in the Prisoner TV show

It’s not a Pentax but still a rare camera sighting.

In the first scene of the 1996 movie "The Arrival" (Sci-Fi/Horror with Charlie Sheen, not to be confused with the 2016 movie "Arrival" by Denis Villeneuve), a camera can be seen. The manufacturer's name was taped over, but the model name was not. It says XR 7, so I guess we've got a Ricoh here?

Lens was rather long, looked like a zoom lens, but there's no clear view of it.

Looks just like my XR7, so Ricoh it is! The camera would have been at least 15 years old in '96.

Not aware of any other camera with that form factor and that size---so, I think we've got a winner.

I am proud to say that i saw a Pentax on a really known german show called "Galileo", made by pro7. There was a nice piece on a derelict fishermen village on an island in the sea of china i think, where they show a group of photographers.

Right there in the middle of them there is a guy with a large silver camera, with a strap that has Pentax written on it. Shortly after that you can see the guy and his camera a bit more closely, and he has what i think was a silver K1 + grip with a 70-200 DFA* lens attached.

Will try to see if i cand find it somewhere online, to post sone screenshots.
