I thought this competition was for abstract photos but going through all the pictures I see very few abstracts.
I must not understand something.
Please clarify for me.

The rules just state "your best photo". I don't see anything about abstract. Where did you see that reference, Mickey?

How do I check to confirm my photo is in the contest and see how my photo is doing?
It's a pitty, there are so many excellent photos and not enough time to look at them all.

The same way you would find any post you've made. Click on your user name in any post and select from the drop-down any one of:
Find other posts by 22codfish

Thanks for the contest! I would like to retract my entry and try with another photo. I can't delete the thread because I replied to it myself and would like to change the title of my entry. Is there a way I can do that? Thanks much,

Thanks, I edited it using advanced and changed the name, but in the contest listing it retains the same thread, "landscape zebra sun". Now my entry is a macro shot of a bullet ant. If possible I'd like to place it in the proper category with the new title. Above all, sorry for the trouble and thanks for any help.

I recall that for the monthly contest you are not permitted to enter the same photo in various month's competitions. However, can the same photo be entered in the k-3 contest and a monthly contest?
