I nominated this the very first week but I do not see my post~!
It has to be a Gaudi or Gehry work or one of their students &
the perspective you used looks like the "eye" of the building &
the windows are her lashes~
It makes me think of that brilliant Disraeli quote:

I looked at that picture so long earlier I had to turn the monitor off and watch TV for a while, then come back to it.

There are truly 128 "winners" in this round, and frankly I think there are some exceptionally beautiful and moving photos besides this one, but "Stare Case" is at another level. It's almost impossible for a photograph to be that abstract and at the same time that realistic simultaneously, but yours is. Furthermore, if you look at it one way, you see one thing; another, you see something different.

This is why I read all the replies before typing my own. I wanted to see if anyone else made the comparison I'm about to and, NO, not so far. It's a photographic M. C. Escher. I have an entire book of Escher prints I peruse periodically, and this photo comes closer to an Escher drawing than pretty much any I've ever seen. The way you controlled lighting, composition and framing to get that "just so" is what truly makes "Stare Case" such a masterpiece, and I really think it is. It should be hanging in a gallery.

You have MY nomination, as well.
