Snowy Night on Campus
Lens: Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di Macro Camera: Pentax K-5 IIs

Neither snow nor rain nor gloom of night keeps the "havoc" of Virginia Commonwealth University from its appointed rounds! A heavy snowstorm blanketed the city of Richmond, Virginia, cancelling classes and paralyzing roads, but the basketball game against George Washington University went on as scheduled. Despite the weather, crowds packed the stands and cheered VCU to a blowout victory over GW. The scene after the game looked almost like any other basketball game night, but for one thing Richmond tends not to get very much of!

I nominate this photo

I enjoy the bokeh snow and the perched view. This wouldn't have been the same in color, glad you chose B&W.

How did you pick that spot to photograph this image? And where exactly are you? ..on the roof?

Thanks! Actually, I was inside a parking deck across the street. I had been on street level trying to get a picture after leaving the game but the heavy crowds were getting in my way. I used the deck to rise above the situation, if you will! :P

I too, nominate this shot. I really do like that bokeh-snow and you've done a great job of capturing a winter street.

This is nice shot - the scene is very appealing and the way you have added these highlights from the snow ( was it captured as a second frame and blended or you added them each by each by hand ? ) are enhancing the photo - although I do have the feeling that you have slightly added a bit too much. I nominate this -even more knowing that these highlights hasn't been added in the post !!

Thanks! Believe it or not, this is a single frame, taken using the pop-up flash on the camera to bring out the snow.
