Your image is powerful, as a story is imagined by all of us. Wonderful. Thank you for sharing and you deserve to win this contest.

This is a Great Photo. I have once nominated, so cannot again. But I am drawn back to the image, over and over, wondering what the story might be that is portrayed so well. I guess that defines a great photo: we return to view it and new emotions and wonderment follow. We all make up story lines for mysteries. This photo creates a wonderment more intense than "what?" it drives me to ask "why." and worry about the young woman in the photo.

Keitha, wonderful work. You deserve awards, and riches.

It is to you, and your art, that thanks accrue. Sometimes an image haunts me, demands attention and thought and makes me wonder about the photo's backstory. That is the story of a great photograph, just as of a great short story in literature. Hemingway taught me that what is not stated in a story is the most powerful imaginative element. "Bereft" provides the mystery and tantalizing hints of visual literature.

Thank you.

I nominate this photo - such a strong example of how emotional stirring a b&w shot really can be. With remarkable concept and precise execution.

Skillfully done! Love the juxtaposition of the wall and the staircase, on which you're sitting, spiraling down into the depths of darkness. I nominate this photo.
