I nominate this photograph. A superb use of black and white, line and surface, both intense emotion and profound storytelling, enough of definite lines and enough of indefinite surfaces. The contrasts between lines and flat surfaces narrates a fascinating story of the human dance of life between the rising of sun and the surrounding of waves. Of rising of the land from beneath the sea. A spark from sun-rays, a smile, elegant movement of hand, a twist of the body, turning a narrative into a new chapter: a new sunrise, a new moonrise, and a new dance. Simple, joyful.
This can as well be Korean or a Japanese narrative of the "histoire de la vie" as both peoples share same origins and similar aesthetics. Very well done.

No problems at all. If you win, you promise you will send me a 6"x8" print of that photo.

I don't think I will win in all seriousness, but if I don't enter I definitely won't win!
Thanks again!

I couldn't agree more with previous posters - the show has it all - the light, the composition and sharpness - love the expression captured on the face of a model - brilliant choice to go BW with this one ! Nomination for sure !
Good luck !

Manntax thank you for your nomination! I'm glad you like it. I don't know if it's my best photo, but it's my favorite and what I continue to measure all my subsequent photos by!
