Well I live really close to it so yea basically lol..I usually go to it when ever I have a new lens and want to try it out..especially at night..glad you know the symbol of my hood haha

I nominate this photo ... but not for the red light house. Honestly, I love the perspective and all the colors other than red! I like the architectural perspective too.

Thanks, boris Im honestly not much of a fan of red but I thought that in this case being that its in the foreground it might capture more of the attention so that's why I named it "Red lighthouse" but thanks for the honesty and nomination

Lived a little further downtown for a while - Columbia Heights - while in grad school

Actually from south shore town on Long Island, but commuting from my parents' home when I started grad school was too much strain and too much time, especially when I needed to stay late on campus. LIRR schedules could get me home well past midnight, then up to catch a train @ 6AM to make eight o'clock classes. That lasted only one semester. Took an apartment on Columbia Heights for several years, but when M and I married we moved out to a rented servants' quarters of a house in Englewood. We had a ride in/out with a faculty member who lived nearby. VW Beetle - nasty in January - heater designed for Florida.
