Nominate. If you overlook the massive amount of noise in this image and don't mind grain, the idea and composition is superb. I love this image. It is one of my favorites.

I nominate it. The first moment you look at fireworks but then you start thinking and dreaming with the child .

THIS is how you use a fisheye! I've never seen a fisheye shot that I thought was an excellent photograph! NOMINATED!

I nominate this photo. Including the child relaxing on the grass looking up at the fireworks makes this picture outstanding. Great image.

My intention was to photograph the fireworks themselves, but I noticed that the light from the fireworks gave an interesting foreground effect to the people watching. After a day full of parades and family and Rita's Italian Ice, my son was so happy laying there absorbing it all, and using the fish-eye I was able to frame both him and the fireworks in an interesting way. I only wish I had a tripod, I would've experimented with some longer exposures.

I used lightroom to lighten the greens a little, which I thought added more of a transition between the foreground and background.
I nominate this photo

This photo is well composed with beautiful colours... but I nominate this photo for the emotions it evokes, not the technical stuff. This reminds me of a carefree childhood. The picture itself I can imagine on a children's storybook. Nominated.

Nominated! I am trying hard not to pick the best Photoshop talent or technical construct. This shot just seems to have caught a number of emotions with me.

Nominated. There's a great intimacy about it - the fisheye really helps define the boundaries of what's in the photo. And I love how it's from the child's perspective.
