Nominated! The expression is very stern and almost harsh. It seems like the girl has endured much for her young age. I think this is very a powerful portrait!

I nominate this photo for its great focus and powerful presentation. The eyes and the texture of the skin are very well caught and the B&W rendering is very effective.
Unfortunately this face shows far less innocence than I would prefer, but this is a circumstance outside of our control. The child's strong determination and character are certainly in evidence here, however.

Intense. Very good tones adding to that intensity. Not sure about the title.
