Landscape Racing against the sunset

The shot was taken in Bagan, located on the banks of the Ayeyarwady (Irrawaddy) River in Myanmar. It is home to the largest and densest concentration of Buddhist temples, pagodas, stupas and ruins in the world with many dating from the 11th and 12th centuries.

I'm glad I took a chance and clicked on this! The photo contest has generated so much content that I no longer have time to look at everything that's been posted since my last visit to the site. An unfortunate effect--the signal to noise ratio has taken a turn for the worst.
