Thanks rodeknyt! I stopped clicking once I got this one, having realised it had taken 2hrs to get this and that I didn't think I could replicate the timing again!

I'll be honest, I thought it was a cool picture, but I didn't think much more just from looking at it. I'm glad you wrote about the process it took to get it. Now that I know the effort and timing that went into it, I have an even greater appreciation than the cursory interest I first had.

There are so many pictures that we look at and some we instantly forget and some stick with us, but others have a story behind them that's almost as interesting as the picture itself. Every now and then I catch myself wondering about the process behind a photo and how it came about and I realize that there's more than meets the eye. It's nice to hear these stories, and hopefully it will help me with some ideas in the future.
