Nominated! I like the composition and color scheme. It's eerie and appealing. I can almost hear a lonely wind blowing through the shot by looking at it!

I nominate this photo. I was 12 years ago in the Baltics and my feeling is that time has stopped (long ago) in many Eastern Europe country's. It's a very simple registration off a scenery we don't have anymore in the West.

I also like the shot - the processing nicely enhancess that haunting depressive loneliness emanating from that place and one would have experienced if living and/or working in such place .
A nomination from me !

Thank you for your thoughts (and nominations )!

It's really great to get your opinion on my picture. And yes, time seems to have stopped going on over there in this former Sowjet Union states. Georgia is a country full of beauty with wonderful landscapes and lovely people. But if you guys every should have the chance to travel across the country, you might get a feeling of what it will take to get this country, that suffered a lot after the collapse of the Sowjet Union, back on track. The economy broke down, the industry vanished completely. All they got is wine (Georgia is the cradle of wine-growing) which they try to promote in the west now and their faith. They are Christians (Orthodox) and even though the young people seem to be westernized a lot, faith is a central column in their lives. This column has got lost in the West (at least in Europe/Germany where I live), so they are different in this regard.

Thanks again for traveling with me.

Nominated. It kind of reminds me of some rural places in Southern California such as Mecca and Rice.

Thanks for your feedback! Glad you like it. I'm happy to learn that you guys can grasp the atmosphere that I felt when I visited this kind of lost place.

Btw. "rustic" is probably more than appropriate since there is virtually no industry in this country anymore... so wherever you go (aside from Tbilisi) you will find nature – or destruction... and people dealing with it.

Excellent, the tones and the angle create a great mood. The title reflects the perfect soundtrack for the scene. Nominated.
