For me this picture needs to be in the fray, the battle of the competition as it were. The atmsophere and colour are great, the moment is everything. I might have fancied a bigger surrounding area or expanse of sky, the cannon to appear smaller???? Just my thoughts. Again, not being there one does not know the limitations. Best of luck with your entry. I'm assuming by writing this, I have nominated the photo - if I have failed, let me know.

I first looked at this and thought it was just a sunset picture. Glad I looked again. The cannon and the light reflection off it really make the picture I nominate this photo

I understand what you are saying. On the right of the cannon is a large monument (you can barely see the shadow), I do have one shot where I am standing a bit further back but the monument seems to distract more than enhance the scene. I thank you very much for the nomination.
